Black Swan Was Somewhat Intense
Decided to see separate movies the other day because I had no desire to see 'True Grit' and he had no desire to see 'Black Swan'. We got our tickets, drinks, split our popcorn and went our separate ways. It was NICE! It kind of reminded me of 'King of Queens'...the episode where Doug and Carrie start sleeping in twin beds and doing everything separately--like eating out and going to the movies. What a shame my wonderful alone time was somewhat ruined by the fact that I felt so uncomfortable during the lesbian scenes between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. It wasn't what was going on-screen that I found bothersome...but it was that the woman sitting next to me brought her 10 year-old daughter AND (apparently) some of her daughter's friends to see this film. HELLO--it is rated R for a reason. Something is seriously wrong with this world if parents think it is okay for their young children to watch movies with strong sexual content, not to mention the three--YES three, masturbation scenes. I can only imagine what the conversation must have been like on that car ride home.
