Time to Smell the Flowers...Tomorrow

I've enjoyed looking at these beautiful flowers over the last few days, but I am more excited that tomorrow I will finally be able to smell them. I'm told the initial rush of oxygen through my nasal passages (after having the yards of gauze packing in my nose removed) will be somewhat euphoric. I hope that is true because I'm sure the whole removal process is going to be pretty painful--so anything that helps me get past it (and forget the fact that this was all my wise idea) sounds wonderful. Tomorrow night will be the test: Did the surgery work? Is my septum repaired? Can I finally breathe out of my nose while sleeping? :-)

If I'm Ever Going to Write That Novel...

I really should start writing again, something , ANYTHING! I feel like it has been so long since I have done anything creative--I spend so much of my time with budgets and numbers (oh and a ton of phone calls). Imagine my surprise when I discovered the last time I looked at my blog or posted anything was nearly a year and a half ago. Granted, I only started one because it was a requirement for a class I was taking. But, I did have every intention of keeping it going. So, tomorrow the stream of consciousness begins again...much like the 'Dear Henry' letters we had to write at Mizzou.
